Martyn's Law, officially titled the Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025, received Royal Assent on 3rd April 2025. This legislation represents a significant milestone in enhancing public safety across the UK.

📌 What is Martyn’s Law?

Martyn’s Law, also referred to as the Protect Duty, is named in memory of Martyn Hett, one of the 22 victims of the 2017 Manchester Arena terrorist attack.

The law imposes a legal duty on venues and organisations to take proportionate steps to protect the public from terrorist threats. It aims to ensure that safety and preparedness are prioritised in public spaces.
